In the woods Radovan in Romania there is an urban legend that tells of the ghost of a woman who
haunts the forest for many years. Reportedly, the ghost woman was always roaming around the forest,
disturbing the man who pass that way to ride the vehicle, and then disappear when not addressed.
Woman's ghost will stop if you go into the woods, scare you off. If you knew him, you would know
that she was the Bride of Radovan Forest.
This legend has survived since decades ago until now. The public will not forget how a dark story
never happened in Radovan, which eventually became a background urban legend Midnight in
Radovan Bride. A sad story in which a pretty girl never find his peace even after his death.
The legend began in the 1940s, in which lived a beautiful girl named Ileana. In the spring of that
year, 17 year old young girl was leaving the village in Moldova to make money in Radovan,
Romania. She came to town with one of his sisters and then get a job at one of the houses in Marin
Mitran. When it first came on the scene, all the men struck by the beauty Ileana and immediately
wanted to approach it. However, Ileana has been determined to make money in that place and not
think about the others, especially to deal with the men. All she knew was looking for money, to
finance poor families in Moldova.
After a long stay in Marin Mitran, Ileana seems to be the center of attention in that area. Some men
never cease to want to approach it, but again, always rejected. Somehow misfortune befall finally the
beautiful girl. Suddenly at a time, Ileana already touched by one of the men who rejected and has
now pregnant with his child. Although denied, Ileana not able to resist stigma against people. At that
time, a woman who is pregnant out of wedlock, and without a husband, always regarded as a woman
and not damned good.
Could not withstand the shame she suffered, Ileana then exit early from the house and toward the
forest in Radovan. There, she hung around his neck on a tree and took his own life. A few days later,
people in Radovan found his body and thought that Ileana doing it because they could no longer
withstand the disgrace he had brought along a child in her womb.
When the corpse Ileana, finally lowered and the police came examine the body, they then decided to
conduct an autopsy on him and find out whether she committed suicide because of it. The police then
call a doctor to cut his stomach and check its contents. People who see it, then shocked to find that
Ileana was not pregnant. She was always honest with what she says, but bad view of people against
him had forced him to do it all. Basically, Ileana end his life without a single mistake she made. All
the people who have done that to him, finally cry and regret.
Even so, some of them still blame Ileana because it had committed suicide. Suicide is a great sin and
those who do, there is no proper funeral for him, other than buried away without the blessing and
prayers.
A tragic end for Ileana's life, as if instead of being the end of the ordeal. Once buried, some people
are visiting his grave, but none of his family. His brother just reported the death of Ileana in Radovan,
but no one could visit him because his family was very poor. Since then, not long after, people started
telling ghost sightings Ileana around his funeral, and on the street that passes Radovan forest in the
middle of the night. They then recognize Ileana as Midnight Bride of Radovan. Not only that,
according to legend, everyone who knows the tragic story of his life, will also be haunted by the
ghost of curious Ileana.
